In this activity you will be able to visit the three must-see sites in Bogota: La Candelaria, Monserrate and the Gold Museum, guided by a certified local guide.
During this 8-hour we will talk about the beginnings of Bogota, the Muiscas, the legend of El Dorado, gold in pre-Hispanic times, the different indigenous tribes in Colombia, colonization, the independence of Colombia, the works of Fernando Botero and Monserrate; you will learn about how a Colombian lives in Bogota, education, gastronomy, architecture and different essential tips for your stay in the capital.
You will learn about the most important events for the country such as the Bogotazo, the siege of the Palace of Justice, Pablo Escobar, the guerrillas, the violence in Colombia and the Peace Process.

MEETING POINT
The meeting point will be the Plaza de Bolivar in front of the doors of the church, the Catedral Primada.
You will find the guide in front of the church holding a green umbrella with the name of the company, Oaca Colombia.
The Gold Museum is closed on Mondays.
The Botero Museum is closed on Tuesdays.
Children under 17 years old must be accompanied with adult.
It is recommended before starting the tour to notify the guide if you have any medical problems or allergies.

If for any reason you need to reschedule the tour you can do it free of charge 24 hours in advance, otherwise you will have a penalty of 35%.
This tour allows you to cancel free of charge 48 hours in advance, otherwise you will have a penalty of 10% up to 12 hours before the tour. For cancellations less than 12 hours, the penalty will be 50% of the total value of the tour.
The weather in Bogota and its surroundings changes constantly, therefore, it is recommended to wear warm clothes and sunscreen.
