Tourism policy

The Oaca Colombia team is aware of maintaining and improving its behavior for sustainable tourism development and good quality in the environment in which it develops, specifically taking into account the sectoral technical standards NTS-TS 003, by which Oaca Colombia is committed to carrying out carry out sustainable management of its tourist activities and plans in order to promote, eliminate and/or reduce the negative impact of our facilities and activities on the tourist destinations offered in our portfolio of services.

In this same sense, the Oaca Colombia travel agency has adopted the following sustainable tourism policy, through which it undertakes to comply with the requirements established in the sectoral technical standard NTS-TS 003, which includes, among others, the legal requirements that regulate the effects generated by the tourist activity. Likewise, we are committed to motivating and training our staff with training and awareness actions on the principles of sustainable tourism, to promote good environmental practices in the surroundings, to participate in external activities and to inform both internally and externally of the company.

One of our main objectives is to perfect sustainable management, assuming commitments to continuous improvement in all areas of socio-cultural, economic and environmental sustainability, as well as customer satisfaction.

This sustainable tourism policy will be updated whenever circumstances warrant, adopting and publishing it to the public.

Environmental Framework

  • Usable solid waste is a low-flow element within the company, which is why a waste management system is proposed, where our Pareto element is paper, therefore, its flow guidelines must be followed.
  • Maintain the environment in optimal conditions inside and outside the establishment of Oaca Colombia, generating a space for the health and well-being of the company's clients and collaborators.
  • Efficiently reduce water consumption and completely eliminate its waste.
  • Make efficient use of electrical energy, helping to reduce the environmental impact that is generated when producing it.

Economic Framework

  • Hire suitable personnel to fulfill their job functions, without exclusion due to conditions other than those of their capacity necessary for the job.
  • Support the trade of sellers in vulnerable conditions in the different destinations of our clients, taking into account the well-being of the traveler as a priority.
  • Promote local commerce in each destination where we sell tours.
  • We refrain from hiring minors and we are willing to report any case of child exploitation of which we are aware.

Socio-Cultural Framework

  • We respect the diversity of gender, beliefs and origins, therefore, we consider that competitive differences are marked exclusively on merit.
  • We seek to highlight the richness of cultures and regions in the different destinations of the tours that we sell to the client.
  • We are active protectors of cultural assets, enacting care for them and being overseers, therefore, we are obliged to report any case of damage or theft of cultural assets.

Tourism framework

  • We have qualified and pertinent personnel for the development of the tourist routes offered to our clients, guaranteeing a quality service to the client.
  • We continuously create strategic alliances with appropriate providers to offer a guarantee of service to our clients.
  • Under any conditions we are not willing to offer services related to "sex tourism" and if we become aware of any incident of sexual commerce with minors, we are obliged to report it to the relevant authorities immediately.
